Comment: I was updating a house that had belonged to a deceased relative, to put it on the market. My goal was to make the house as attractive as possible to sell quickly in an already depressed market. One thing that I did was to replace the cheap, once-white-and-now-dingy berber carpet with prefinished bamboo flooring. I had a handyman contractor working on general house repairs. He had previous experience installing wood flooring (my father-in-law's house), and while he had done an excellent job there, he had never before worked with bamboo. Evidently bamboo requires a different type of glue. Due to my limited budget, I chose to have my handyman install the flooring rather than have a professional installation. This was a mistake. Because my handyman did not remove the residual glue immediately, his later attempts to remove the glue also removed the finish. Although I knew that the floor still needed work, I put the house on the market and had an offer within two days. The offer naturally stipulated that the floor be corrected before a closing date set for two weeks later. Since I needed the work done fast, I called Dalworth Cleaning for help. His inspection revealed that while there were still some glue spots, the problem was really that the factory installed finish had been removed in my handyman's attempt to remove the glue. Mr Hedger worked to remove some remaining spots and refinished the entire 900 square feet in two days. The floor looked absolutely beautiful; a huge difference. Mr Hedger also met with me, my realtor, the buyer, and the buyer's realtor after hours to discuss what had been done to restore the finish.
Description of Work: Terry Hedger of Dalworth Cleaning removed residual glue left by my handyman contractor's botched installation of approximately 900 square feet of bamboo flooring, then refinished it. This was done on house updated for market and already in escrow. My Hedger also provided invaluable and HUGELY appreciated customer service and support in meeting with the buyer's realtor after normal business hours to answer questions regarding the floor.
